What does item protection include?
During a move, the biggest risk of damage to your belongings comes from careless or insufficient protection. Scratches, dents and dirt occur easily while carrying – especially in stairways, narrow corridors and inside the moving truck.
Kengurut’s professionals protect all your belongings properly before anything is moved. The right materials, the right technique and experience – that means your items arrive at your new home in exactly the same condition as they left.
Item protection – what do we protect?
We protect everything that needs protecting, not just the obvious items. In our experience, it’s always the item left unprotected that gets scratched. We don’t take risks. We protect:
- Sofas and armchairs with protective film and felt blankets
- Beds and mattresses with protective film
- Televisions and monitors with padding and protective film
- Shelves, cabinets and dressers with felt blankets and corner protectors
- Paintings, mirrors and glass surfaces with specialist protection
- Electronics and appliances with cushioned wrapping
- Walkway protection: floors, door frames and lifts are protected at both the departure and destination address
- Moving truck cargo area padded and secured – no movement during transport
How much does item protection cost?
Item protection is always included as part of our normal moving service and is not an extra charge – it’s part of a professional move. Protection materials are calculated separately based on usage, and we always go through them in your quote in advance.
